Description:

Human bone from grave 48 of the Anglian cemetery, Home Farm, Sewerby (5th-7th century AD), excavated in 1959/1974. The occupant of the burial was a male, buried on his right side, right arm extended, left arm bent over trunk. Legs bent, with left over the right. Remaining bones include: skull, right clavicle, right scapula, right humerus, left/right hands, left/right ulna, left/right radius, ribs, vertebrae, sacrum, pelvis, left patella, right fibula, left/right tibia and the head of one femur.
