Description:

Copper alloy crucifix, probably connected with the Yorkshire Catholic Reformatory School for Boys, which existed on a site near Market Weighton from c1850 until the early 1970's. The ends of the cross at the sides and bottom are elaborately decorated. Above the Christ figure, there is a small lozenge shaped containing the letters INRI. Part of metal detecting collection belonging to the late Terry Britten.
