Model of the Willerby Wold Neolithic long barrow, made of fibreboard, wood and plaster. A reconstruction of the final phase of the site based on archaeological evidence supplied by the excavator. Excavated by Terry Manby in 1958-60, the roughly trapezoidal timber structure had a timber post facade at the east end and was covered with an earth/chalk mound. Radio carbon dated to around 3000BC.
