Septarian nodule - a ball of hardened mud and sediment, with the remains of dead sea life, formed as a result of volcanic activity. Grey/cream, with lines dividing the surface into sections, giving it a turtle back appearance. From Kimmeridge clay? Collected by Hull Geological Society from a Holderness beach.
