Cast aluminium model of a snake-entwined staff, one of four corner elements from the Hengate war memorial in Beverley representing different branches of the armed forces during World War I - the army, air force, navy and medical services. The monument was restored in 2011, based on photographs, as at that time only one of the original four (lead) elements remained - the battleship. A duplicate set of the replacements were donated to the Museums Service.
