Unframed B&W photograph on card mount of The Court Leet, 1919, the day after the Peace Pageant. It shows gentlemen in wigs and 18th century costume outside the Bayle Gate, Bridlington, arranged as for a court. Men in soldiers uniforms guard the Bayle entrance. The title and date are given by the original of this photograph, which can be seen in the Bayle Museum, Bridlington. The leet was a local court, set up in the days of Bridlington monastery and continued by the Lords Feoffees. On reverse of mount, a certificate 3rd class for Scripture History awarded to Winifred Mary Wentworth, Christmas 1892.
