Archive from watching brief by Humber Field Archaeology at Jubilee Farm, Burgate, North Newbald (grid ref SE9141 3672), on 30/9/2003. The work was associated with the construction of three garages. Three phases of archaeological deposits were identified in the foundation trenches: 1. 19th/20th century refuse pits. 2. Probable Meideval deposits. 3. A sequence of prehistoric ditches, pits and postholes. Artefacts (one Stewart box) comprise prehistoric flint flakes/blades (possibly of Bronze Age date), animal bone and 19th century pottery.
