Title: Metal working waste
Item Name: Manufacture and Processing

Description:

Five ingot fragments of copper alloy waste, probably of Bronze age date. Found at a metal detecting rally at Bishop Burton on 24/9/2011 (all within a c10m radius) and reported on the same day. Bright green patinas, irregular, with pitted and striated surface. Possibly a metal workers reserve store, intended for later use, but could also be a ritual deposit. Donated by the finder/landowner.
