Paper archive from excavation by AC Archaeology at Grange Farm, Cherry Burton (site 910). 1 box file, including a CD-ROM. The excavations identified a series of pits & ditches relating to the mid-late Iron Age. Finds included: 63 animal bone fragments, mostly from pit 14 (cattle, sheep, goat, pig). Characterised as general domestic food waste - sheep most common. Also, 22 sherds of pottery, all hand-made, coarsely tempered fabrics. Plant remains included some barley grains. A charcoal sample remains with the archive. Excavations were in advance of the Teeside-Saltend Ethylene pipeline. See Northern Archaeological Associates report for further details.
