Archive from watching brief by Humber Field Archaeology at Mires Beck Nurseries, Low Mill Lane, North Cave (grid ref. SE 889 3155), on 17th December 2003. The work was associated with the building of a glasshouse. Monitoring of the soak away revealed a series of boundary/enclosure pits, ditches and postholes, which were probably late Iron Age or Roman-British. Pottery from the fills was probably of 1stc BC date. Animal bone and possible ceramic building material were also found. One small box of finds.
