Paper archive from excavations/field walking at Pits Plantation, Rudston (centre on grid ref TA101667) in October/November, 1995, in advance of an access road and a gas drill site. Parts of the Rudston "A" cursus ditches were excavated and redated (by material from the west ditch) to the mid Neolithic. Grimston style and All-Over Corded pottery sherds were found in two nearby pits. Some Bronze Age, Iron Age and Romano-British material was also recovered.
