69 pottery sherds from at least four beakers (Case class c) dated to around 2700-2000BC. Two vessels can be partly reconstructed. Orange-brown fabric, with exterior all over grooved decoration. From pit 226 and fill 227, excavations/field walking at Pits Plantation, Rudston (centre on grid ref TA101667) in October/November, 1995. See figs 9-10 and pages 7-8 in excavation report.
