Bio:

Nephew of the well known Beverley Artist, Fredrick William Elwell. Little is known of him as an artist. He painted local scenes and local people, usually in oils. Served with the British army in the Far East during WW2, and died on his way home. He appears as a prisoner in the dock (together with the artist Walter Goodin) in one of Fred Elwell's paintings 'Police Court'.
