How do I buy or renew a railcard?

Once you have your discount code, you can buy or renew a railcard on the National Rail – Senior Railcard website. You just need a valid passport or UK driving licence and a debit or credit card. You can buy your senior railcard up to two weeks before your 60th birthday, however, your railcard will only valid from the date of your 60th birthday.

Please note: you can also buy a senior railcard from a staffed ticket office, however, the 20 percent discount is not available so your discount code will not be valid.
