How we respond to bridge defect reports

We prioritise safety and aim to respond promptly based on the severity of the issue:

    Urgent defects

We aim to inspect serious bridge defects within 24 hours of receiving a report. Once assessed, we’ll take any necessary action to ensure the bridge is safe, including temporary measures if immediate repairs aren’t possible.

    Non-urgent defects

For less critical issues, we aim to respond within 28 working days. This may be subject to delays if we require approval from third parties, such as utility companies, where infrastructure like pipes or cables is located near the bridge.
