Can I view the statistics for the civil parking enforcement?

Yes. Below you will find copies of the council’s CPE annual returns to the Department for Transport (DfT) which covers cumulative figures for penalty charge notices (PCN) served by the council’s enforcement team for a particular financial year. You will also view the associated financial returns for the same period.

Can I view the annual parking report?

Yes. The council’s annual parking report provides an overview of the car parking and enforcement services. Under the Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA) we are required to publish our annual parking accounts at the end of the financial year.

This annual report provides financial and statistical information on parking income and expenditure and Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs). The annual car parking report also sets out the approach to car parking charges, provides a baseline for future years whilst complying with current legislation and identifies a timescale for areas of future review.

Why are we publishing this information?

Publication of this information is in accordance with the Department for Transport's "Operational Guidance to Local Authorities: Parking Policy and Enforcement" under the Traffic Management Act 2004.

Greater transparency is essential to ensure that the public can see how local authorities are spending funds from both parking charges and enforcement activity. Annual reports are a key part of this and the 2012-2013 report was the first such report we have published:
