Thank you for your interest in our Destination Group Manager vacancy. I’m thrilled to be able to offer this exciting opportunity to work in culture and tourism in a brand new role to the Authority.
The East Riding coast is famous for its stunning cliffs, beautiful views, wildlife, coastal villages, and traditional family resorts like Bridlington, Hornsea and Withernsea. Tourists love to come here, to experience life on the coast, and to get away from it all by getting closer to the amazing nature on offer.
Sewerby Hall and Gardens, in a stunning clifftop location just north of Bridlington, has recently been restored to its glory days in the Edwardian period, and boasts a zoo, country house, acres of gardens, and a popular café. Bridlington Spa offers year-round high profile concerts and events, including a legendary pantomime, as well as a café, and meeting / event spaces.
South Cliff Holiday Park in Bridlington has just been refurbished and extended, offering the chance to own or hire holiday homes and lodges; enjoy touring holidays; motorhomes; camping; and glamping.
The popular Bridlington Park and Ride service provides a choice of buses or the iconic land trains along the seafront. The foreshores team for all three resorts looks after the miles of promenades, the facilities like paddling pools and other traditional resort amenities, and promotes the hugely popular chalets available to hire all year round in several locations in Bridlington and Hornsea.
Countryside access is a vital part of life in the East Riding, and our team looks after Local Nature Reserves, some on the coast and others inland, and a wealth of other issues relating to the enjoyment of the countryside.
It’s an amazing part of the world, and attracts more and more visitors each year, contributing hugely to the local economy.
