We offer an optional comprehensive buildings insurance policy for our leaseholders that covers all the risks included in the block policy plus loss or damage caused by smoke, earthquake, riot, civil commotion, strikes, malicious damage, collision by vehicles aircraft or animals, flood, escape of water from any fixed tank, falling trees or branches, theft or attempted theft, subsidence, ground heave or landslip, leakage of oil from any fixed oil-fired installation, and damage caused by falling television aerials or satellite dishes. It also includes extended accidental damage cover (unless the property is sub-let), and your mortgage company can be named on the schedule.
The policy is renewable annually and is payable in advance, it does not form part of the service charge. If you take out the comprehensive policy you are not charged for the block policy as well.
You can request an application pack for the comprehensive policy online (opens in new window) or contact the leasehold services team.

We do not currently provide home contents insurance for leaseholders, but would strongly recommend that leaseholders obtain their own contents insurance policy.
