What you can do

Manage your council tax account using our secure online service. Once you have logged in you can:

• View your council tax bill - no need to wait for the post. With paperless billing your bills are available online as soon as they are issued.
• Pay your council tax online - you just need a credit or debit card.
• Set up a Direct Debit - for this quick and easy way to pay your council tax you'll need your council tax account number and bank account details.
• Change your Direct Debit plan - choose to pay on the 1st, 5th, 15th, or 25th of the month, over 10 or 12 months. You can also update your bank details.
• Tell us you've moved - let us know if you've moved in, moved out, or changed address within the East Riding.
• Apply for single person discount - you may get council tax reduction if you are the only adult (aged 18 or over) in your home.
• Check a council tax band - you'll just need your postcode to find the council tax band and yearly charge for your home.
