The details below tell you other ways to pay, but the safest way to pay your rent is by Direct Debit.
Post Office
You can pay your rent free of charge at any post office with your barcoded rent statement or rent card. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or debit card. If you do not have your rent statement or rent card, you can request a copy by emailing rents@eastriding.gov.uk.
You should allow 4 working days for the payment to reach your account and remember to keep your receipt as proof that you have paid.

Customer Service Centres
You can pay at any of our Customer service centres, please check before you arrive for opening days and opening times as each centre differs.
Payments can be made by:
- debit card
- credit card
- cash
- cheque or postal order (made payable to 'East Riding of Yorkshire Council').
Please note: we will not accept any responsibility for cash deposited in any of our office letterboxes.

Payment can be made by cash, credit card or debit card. You will need your rent reference which is shown on your rent statement.

Cheques should be made payable to 'East Riding of Yorkshire Council'. Please write your name, address and rent reference on the reverse of the cheque.
