What is Multiply?

Multiply is a new nationally funded programme from the Department for Education aimed at helping people become more confident with numbers.

Our Multiply programme offers residents of the East Riding of Yorkshire free training to support them in getting the numeracy, confidence and skills they need to manage everyday living at home and at work.

There are lots of ways that Multiply can improve your life. Whether you’re looking at boosting your number skills to help with daily tasks, progress at work or gain a formal qualification, Multiply could be the next step in unlocking your potential.

  • help you support children with their homework
  • help you progress into further learning
  • help you unlock new job opportunities or progress in work.

Eligibility

If you are aged 19+ and do not already have a GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) in maths, Multiply is available to you.

Multiply is also available to those that already have a GCSE at grade C (or equivalent) in maths, if attending these sessions will help you to get a job, help you progress in your career or help you progress to higher levels of training.

Do you want to take part in Multiply sessions?

You can do with East Riding Adult Learning and Employability. You can join us at our Adult Learning Centres in Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham and Goole, or in a pop-up centre, in your community or a on board our Mobile Adult Learning Centre.

Who delivers Multiply?

As well as being available at our Adult learning centres in Beverley, Bridlington, Cottingham and Goole, our Multiply scheme is also being delivered by our partners Pure Training Solutions Ltd, (Bridlington) and the TEC Partnership (Grimsby) - who are working closely with employers throughout the region.

This offer is also supported by our Multiply Community Outreach Programme, which is working with community organisations such as, Humber Learning Consortium, Shores - Withernsea, The Green Team - Goole, Two Rivers - Goole, Working for Health - Cottingham, Revolution - Cottingham, and Bridlington Quay - Bridlington, to raise awareness of adult numeracy in the East Riding.
