    Introduction

Between 8 October and 26 November 2025, the council consulted on the admission arrangements for community and voluntary-controlled schools for the 2027-28 school year.

At the end of the consultation, the council’s cabinet was asked to formally determine these arrangements in January 2026.

    Summary of changes

The majority of the 2027-28 arrangements are the same as previous years. Detailed information can be also found in the ‘Summary of Key Changes’ and other documents.

Admissions documents for the 2027-28 school year

The following documents relate to the admissions arrangements for the 2027-28 school year, and are available to download in PDF format.

    Please note:

The Fair Access Protocol is included with the other documents here, but it only takes effect once most schools in East Riding agree to it. This protocol itself is reviewed separately from the council’s yearly admission arrangements.
