What is Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY)?

Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY) is the area tourism partnership (ATP) for the Yorkshire sub-region. VHEYs activities focus around visitor promotion and management, destination awareness and building the quality of the destination.

As the sub-region's ATP, VHEY is responsible for generating increased tourism activity in Hull and East Yorkshire through a range of innovative marketing activities and tourism business support.

What does VHEY do?

VHEY's key objectives are to:

  • communicate effectively with stakeholders and partner organisations to ensure clarity of the key aims of VHEY and support for their delivery
  • establish VHEY as the gateway for information in the sub-region relating to the tourism and visitor market
  • promote the destination and the activity within it
  • support and underpin all activity relating to VHEY business plan particularly in relation to key objective to increase visitor spend within the sub-region by 5 per cent.

What support can VHEY provide?

As an organisation VHEY aims to support businesses in order to:

  • focus on increasing awareness of Hull and East Yorkshire's tourism offer to a national audience.
  • increase awareness of Hull & East Yorkshire's tourism offer to domestic and international audiences through partnerships with tourism bodies such as Enjoy England and Visit Britain.
  • develop positive perceptions of the area as a destination and visitor experience.
  • evoke confidence and support for the organisations delivering this.
