Beverley Baby Bistro. 9.30 - 11am. Starts 21 January and every 2-weeks after this date. Term time only.
Beverley Baby Bistro is the place to find support for all pregnant and new Mums who are facing the challenges of early days breast feeding. Come along to the friendly group meeting, share your highs and lows of breast feeding, and discuss your breast feeding questions with an experienced breast feeding supporter. This is a free event and no booking is necessary, just turn up!

Reminiscence. Second Wednesday of the month. 10.30 - 11.30am
Take a trip down memory lane at your local East Riding Library. Use our great range of memory boxes containing items such as photographs, books and even food packaging to relive the sights and sounds of days gone by. Reminiscence is a social group for older people to meet new friends and have fun sharing stories. Reminiscence is also proven to be beneficial for those living with Dementia and their carers, and is endorsed by the Alzheimer’s society. Thursdays

Adult Book Club. Last Thursday of the month. 5.30 - 7pm
Reading can reduce stress by 68% and risk of dementia by 35%. Broaden your horizons, meet like-minded people and explore the fascinating world of literature. The Adult Book Club meet in the Treasure House Cafe. Suitable for all adults and ability levels, no need to book just come along.

Chatterbooks. For children aged 8 - 11. First Thursday of the month. Term time only. 4.15 - 5.15pm
Join in our popular reading group for primary school children, to talk about what you are reading, take part in fun activities inspired by the best children's books, and choose new books to take home and read. Did you know, children who read for enjoyment do better at school?

Bounce and Rhyme sessions for toddlers. Every three weeks. 9.45 - 10.15am and 2.15 - 2.45pm.

Experts have discovered that if a child knows eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are four years old, they are usually among the best at reading and spelling in their class by the time they are in Year 3. Enjoy sharing songs and rhymes with your pre-school children in a group setting, and help increase their language concentration and listening skills in these fun sessions. Please note - booking is essential. 


Saturdays

Games Group. 10.30 - 11.30am 
Join our new Games Group and meet new friends whilst playing a variety of board games. The group is open to all ages. 
You can build your word power with Scrabble, or flex your strategic muscles with chess. Games are not just for rainy afternoons!!"
Our Game Compendiums include; Chess, Draughts, Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, Pick-up sticks, Yahtzee, Cards, Domino's and Halma.


Getting there
Beverley Library is situated within the Treasure House on the ground floor.

By bus - the library is a five minute walk from Beverley Bus Station.

By train - Beverley railway station is a four minute walk away.

Parking - There are four disabled parking bays outside the library on Champney Road. Parking is available free after 3.30pm Monday to Friday behind the library in Princess Gardens car park.
