Essential Maintenance

Work to upgrade the interior of Snaith Library is being planned as part of ongoing maintenance of the building. The upgrade will consist of laying a new carpet. 

The library will close at 12 noon, Saturday 24 November 2018 and will re-open at 10am on Saturday 1 December. 

During the closure period, books can be returned to any East Riding Library

Tuesdays 

Knit and Natter. First, third and fourth Tuesday of the month. 2.15 – 3.45pm 
Library knitting groups offer improved health and wellbeing and a lively group of new friends for all ages and abilities. Did you know knitting has therapeutic qualities similar to meditation? Research shows it can help prevent and manage stress and pain. No need to book, just come along and join our friendly group.   

Adult Book Club. Second Tuesday of the month. 2.30 - 3.30pm
Reading can reduce stress by 68% and risk of dementia by 35%. Broaden your horizons, meet like-minded people and explore the fascinating world of literature. Suitable for all adults and ability levels, no need to book just come along.

Ancestry Club. First Tuesday of the month. 5 - 6pm 


Thursdays

Bounce and Rhyme. For pre-school children. Term time only. 11.00 - 11.30am
Experts have discovered that if a child knows eight nursery rhymes by heart by the time they are four years old, they are usually among the best at reading and spelling in their class by the time they are in Year 3. Enjoy sharing songs and rhymes with your pre-school children in a group setting, and help increase their language concentration and listening skills in these fun sessions. No need to book, just come along.

By bus – Snaith Library is a two minute walk from the nearest bus stop on Selby Road.

Parking - there is on-street parking near the library, and one disabled parking bay at the rear of the library.  Access via Cadman Lane.
