Games Group. 2 - 4pm
Join our new Games Group and meet new friends whilst playing a variety of board games. The group is open to all ages.  
You can build your word power with Scrabble, or flex your strategic muscles with chess. Games are not just for rainy afternoons!!
Our Game Compendiums include; Chess, Draughts, Ludo, Snakes and Ladders, Pick-up sticks, Yahtzee, Cards, Domino's and Halma.

Computer classes run by Age UK. 2 - 4pm

Knit and Natter. 9.30 - 11.30am
Library knitting groups offer improved health and wellbeing and a lively group of new friends for all ages and abilities. Did you know knitting has therapeutic qualities similar to meditation? Research shows it can help prevent and manage stress and pain. No need to book, just come along and join our friendly group.

East Yorkshire Family History Society drop in sessions. Second Tuesday of the month. 2 - 4pm 

Chatterbooks. For children aged 7 - 11. Second Tuesday of the month, except August. 3.45 - 4.45pm
Join in our popular reading group for primary school children, to talk about what you are reading, take part in fun activities inspired by the best children's books, and choose new books to take home and read. Did you know, children who read for enjoyment do better at school? No need to book, just come along.


Hand Patchwork and Quilting Group. 9.30 - 11.30am
Explore hand patchwork and quilting in the comfort of your local East Riding Library. Come along, make new friends and learn new skills.

Storytime. For children aged 0 - 5. Term time only. 2.15 - 2.45pm.  
Storytime is a fun and enjoyable introduction to books for pre-schoolers. Sharing books with young children can help to build concentration skills, listening skills and extend vocabulary to give them a head start when they begin school. No need to book, just come along. 


Reminiscence. First Friday of the month. 10.30 - 11.30am. 
Take a trip down memory lane at your local East Riding Library. Use our great range of memory boxes containing items such as photographs, books and even food packaging to relive the sights and sounds of days gone by. Reminiscence is a social group for older people to meet new friends and have fun sharing stories. Reminiscence is also proven to be beneficial for those living with Dementia and their carers, and is endorsed by the Alzheimer’s society. Spaces are limited and booking is essential so please phone Withernsea Centre (01482) 393939 for availability

Adult Book Club. Last Friday of the month. 11am - 12noon
Reading can reduce stress by 68% and risk of dementia by 35%. Broaden your horizons, meet like-minded people and explore the fascinating world of literature. Suitable for all adults and ability levels, no need to book just come along.

Parking - there is limited free parking behind the library and on the street near by.
