Are there any specific activities for young people with disabilities?

There are lots of activities that the Sport, Play and Arts Service run and we can also signpost people to other activities we are aware of. Have a look at the table below for more information:

Holiday activities:

The Sport, Play and Arts Service run a variety of activities for disabled young people during the summer holidays, such as archery, free play and trampolining

Information of all the Sport, Play and Arts activities are advertised on the  Schools Out web page 

Aspire Clubs:

Aspire clubs offer a wide range of sports and activities for young disabled people and their siblings and friends. The clubs are aimed at young people aged 8-16 but 5-7 year olds can attend but must be supervised by a parent or guardian
The clubs are held at:

  • Beverley Leisure Complex - Thursdays 5-6pm
  • Francis Scaife Sports Centre - Saturdays 3-5pm
  • Haltemprice Leisure Centre - Saturdays 1-3pm
