About the centre
Pocklington Children’s Centre can be found on the Woldgate College school site just a short distance from the main school entrance. The friendly, passionate and knowledgeable staff team work alongside colleagues from Midwifery and Health Visiting to provide a range of activities and services for children and their parents or carers, grandparents or childminders from pregnancy to age 9.We have recently achieved the Gold Standard Baby Friendly Accreditation which enables us to better support families with feeding and developing close, loving relationships with their babies.
Parking
There is one designated disabled parking bay onsite and a number of designated Children’s Centre parking bays at the left hand side of the building additional parking bays are available on the school site.
Facilities
  • A multi-purpose family activity room that we use to deliver group work and activities to support the whole family. Access to outdoor facilities provide a range of explorative and sensory experiences.
  • Family friendly indoor sensory area available to book free of charge,
  • Health room where you can meet with your community midwife for ante natal and postnatal appointments.
  • Baby changing facilities are available throughout the building.
  • Comfortable breast feeding and infant feeding facilities.
Accessibility
A designated disabled parking bay is provided in the car park and our centre has easy access to all our onsite facilities.

Additional information
Healthy Child Clinics are delivered onsite by our local ISPHNS team and supported by Children’s Centre team and 3 times a week the local community midwifery service provides ante natal and post-natal clinic appointments within our centre for all new parents.
