Fostering events

Dates and locations of upcoming fostering events.

What are fostering events?

Our free fostering events, which we hold regularly, are an opportunity for you to come and find out if fostering is right for you.

We have a presentation which covers the assessment process, training and much more. Following the presentation you are welcome to talk to members of our team, our looked after young people, foster carers with their birth children and our training specialist to discuss any questions you may have.

Where and when are the fostering events?

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the meetings below have been cancelled.

Date Time Location
Tuesday 10 March, 2020 6 - 8pm Information event at East Riding Leisure, Goole
Tuesday 19 May, 2020 6 - 8pm Information event at Tickton Grange Hotel, Beverley

Please note: For evening events please arrive by 5.50pm. Refreshments will be provided.

Drop-in events

Our drop-in events are an opportunity to come and have an informal chat with a member of staff. We hold these regularly in either supermarkets, leisure centres or libraries. Please keep checking back for our latest sessions.

Can I just turn up or do I need to book?

There is no need to book, just turn up!

Can I bring my children?

Children are welcome to come along to the information events.

I can't attend any of the events, what should I do?

If you're unable to come to one of our events but would like further information please call us on (01482) 396469 or  send us a general enquiry.
