Joint Local Access Forum (JLAF)

Protecting the countryside

The East Riding of Yorkshire and Kingston upon Hull Joint Local Access Forum (JLAF) is an advisory forum that works to protect and enhance countryside access in our local area.

For over 20 years, the JLAF has been an independent voice, bringing together walkers, cyclists, horseriders, landowners, and other community members who share a passion for the countryside.

About the Joint Local Access Forum (JLAF)

There are more than 1,600 kilometres of public rights of way in the East Riding, and lots of great places to visit.

Members of the JLAF work closely with East Riding of Yorkshire Council to improve the extensive network of rights of way, promote healthy lifestyles, and encourage local residents and visitors to follow the Countryside Code and respect, protect and enjoy the countryside.

JLAF brings together diverse expertise and local knowledge. From promoting the Countryside Code, to encouraging responsible dog ownership, see how JLAF's collaborative approach works to improve countryside access across the East Riding of Yorkshire.
