East Riding registration services to host ceremony and venue open days

Tuesday, 13 January 2026

Couples and families across the East Riding are invited to discover unique ceremony spaces at a series of wedding venue and ceremony open days this January and February.

Hosted by East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s Registration Service, these free events are the perfect opportunity to explore beautiful venues, meet experienced ceremonies officers, and learn how to personalise celebrations.

Whether those interested are planning a wedding, civil partnership, naming ceremony, or renewal of vows, there will be the opportunity to explore what each venue has to offer, tour the grounds and seek expert advice from the team.

Councillor Nigel Wilkinson cabinet member for finance and governance at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: ‘’This is a wonderful opportunity for the East Riding Registration Service to showcase all it has to offer, guiding visitors through ceremonies which will make their special occasions truly memorable.

‘’The team will also be able to provide useful advice on a variety of subjects including how to give notice and how to plan a more bespoke ceremony.
