Free on-line sessions announced for Safeguarding Adults Week

Thursday, 7 November 2024

Partners from the Hull and East Riding Safeguarding Adults Boards have come together and developed a programme of learning events and interactive sessions to support this year’s Safeguarding Adults week and the Ann Craft Trust.

Spurred on by the success of Safeguarding Adults Week 2023 the safeguarding partners have worked to extend the range of topics being covered this year. Whilst a number of the sessions are open only to professionals working in the safeguarding sector, some sessions are also open to the public.

The events cover topics such as professional curiosity and advocacy, awareness, modern slavery and domestic abuse in older adults. The sessions have been designed to stimulate discussion, spark innovation and share best practice. Each session will be delivered by inspirational and motivational speakers, all of whom are experts in their field.

The full programme of events is open for viewing and booking via Eventbrite and early registration is recommended to avoid disappointment. You can book here: East Riding Safeguarding Adult's Board Events - 14 Upcoming Activities and Tickets | Eventbrite Tickets are now available.

Each day throughout the campaign, the Public Health bus will be at the following location across Hull and the East Riding:

Monday, 18 November, 10:00am – 2.00pm, St Stephens Shopping Centre, Hull

Wednesday, 20 November, 10:00am – 2:00pm, North Point Centre, Bransholme

Friday, 22 November, 10:00am – 2:00pm, Wednesday Market, Beverley

All the agencies involved will be sharing information across their social media channels and website in the run up to Safeguarding week and throughout the week. To follow along look for the hashtag #safeguardingadultsweek2024

‘’We are confident that the public and professionals alike will find these collaborative, interactive sessions both engaging and useful.
