Residents at New House Care Home in Beverley are benefiting from high-quality, compassionate care after the home was rated 'Good' across all five areas by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) following its latest inspection.

Run by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, New House Care Home provides specialist support and care for people requiring nursing or personal care, including people with learning disabilities.

The home achieved a ‘Good’ rating across each of the five key areas assessed by the CQC:

  • Safe
  • Effective
  • Caring
  • Responsive
  • Well-led

Inspectors found staff treated people with kindness and respect, people felt safe, and care was tailored to individuals' needs.

The results of the inspection were shared publicly by the regulator on Wednesday, 15 July and the CQC's findings recognised the home's commitment to delivering high-quality care and support, with residents benefiting from a safe, compassionate and person-centred environment.

Councillor Jonathan Owen, Cabinet Member for Adults, Health and Care at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "We are delighted that New House Care Home has been recognised as Good across all five areas assessed by the Care Quality Commission.

‘’This is something everyone at New House should be incredibly proud of. Our staff work with compassion, professionalism and dedication every day to help residents live fulfilling lives, and this inspection recognises the difference they make.
