Has a Neighbourhood Development Plan been prepared for North Cave?

No, but North Cave Parish Council have expressed a desire to prepare a Neighbourhood Development Plan to cover the parish.

How can I get involved with the North Cave Neighbourhood Development Plan?

North Cave Parish Council will lead the preparation of their Neighbourhood Development Plan with support from East Riding of Yorkshire Council. If you are interested in being involved you should contact the parish council in the first instance. A website has been established for the Plan and it provides details of meetings, studies and progress on the Plan's preparation.

Will the North Cave Neighbourhood Development Plan look to allocate sites for development?

The exact scope of the North Cave Neighbourhood Development Plan has yet to be finalised though the parish council has not expressed a wish to consider allocating sites for development at this time.

When was the North Cave neighbourhood area designated?

The North Cave neighbourhood area was formally designated at the council meeting on 18 June 2014. This followed a recommendation by the cabinet on 22 April 2014 after a period of public consultation.

Was there any consultation on the North Cave neighbourhood area application?

Yes. A six-week consultation on the proposed North Cave neighbourhood area was held between 13 January and 24 February 2014 so that people living, working and carrying out business in North Cave could let us know their views on the proposed area.

The majority of respondents were supportive of designating the proposed boundary as a neighbourhood area. The comments received to the consultation can be found in Appendix B of the Cabinet report, available to download above.
