East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s social prescribing team is organising a free public event to showcase what is going on in Hessle.

The event will be held at Hessle Town Hall in South Lane on Thursday, 21 November from 12noon until 4pm. It will include community information stalls, refreshments, and more.

The council will be represented by its countryside access team, adult learning service, Lifeline, and East Riding leisure, libraries and customer services.

Other organisations represented at the event will include:

  • Quilling, Calligraphy, and Folk Art classes

  • Model Railway Club
  • Humber Wolds & Rural Action
  • Tower Hill Methodist Church
  • All Saints Church

Adam Gibson, health and wellbeing co-ordinator, said: “I hope lots of local people will come along to this event and find out more about a whole range of activities and organisations going on in the Hessle area.”
