Road improvements are due to be carried out in Patrington starting on Monday 2 December.

East Riding of Yorkshire Council will carry out road resurfacing work in Humber Lane for a period of two weeks, weather permitting.

The scheme, costing £123,000, will be carried out by the council’s streetscene services.

The works involve replacing the existing road surface, speed humps and road markings.

Due to its narrow width, the road will need to be closed during the two weeks’ of work for safety reasons.

A signed diversion will be in place via Market Place, High Street, Eastgate, Welwick Road and Southside.

Access will be maintained for residents and businesses in Humber Lane for the majority of the time.

Dave Waudby, head of infrastructure and facilities at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We’d like to thank residents and motorists in advance for their patience while we carry out these works, but they will notice the improvement when it’s finished.”
