The UK is well-known for having some great pockets of food production and food brands that are recognised internationally.
They are food, drink, and agricultural products with a geographical connection or those that are made using traditional methods. You may have heard of some before such as Cumberland sausages, Cornish clotted cream, Scottish wild salmon, and many, many more.
Here in the East Riding we have some fantastic seafood on offer and the council is working with branding specialists Forgaard Communications to develop a new product and brand. We would like to know who would be interested in buying it, and the sort of branding that appeals to them. The council is encouraging East Riding residents to have their say and take this opportunity to shape what, the council believes, can become a major international brand showcasing the East Riding's fantastic shellfish.
Cllr Jane Evison, portfolio holder for economic development and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: "We want to get a new Bridlington seafood brand firmly on the map, so are encouraging you to have your say and help us to create another famous UK food brand. By completing our online survey you will be helping to influence the logo, packaging and advertising for the new brand and hopefully you'll see it around the East Riding in the not too distant future."
You can complete the survey here: bit.ly/EastRidingFoodSurvey
All responses will be entered into a prize draw to win a sample of the new product. Terms and Conditions of the prize draw are available on the survey website which is delivered by England Marketing Limited.
The survey will close on 30 November 2021.
