New STREAM events at East Riding Libraries this Christmas

East Riding Libraries' new STREAM events are a programme of activities for children and families which focus on developing skills and interest in the key subject areas of Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. The aim is to help support learning through fun.

During the Christmas holidays, events will be held at several libraries across the East Riding:

Saturday, 17 December : Christmas Lego Art at South Cave Library and Withernsea Library & Customer Services.  No need to book.

Monday, 19 December : Christmas Lego Art at Haltemprice Library and Customer Services; Goole Library; and Brough Petuaria Centre. These sessions are suitable for children aged four plus, and under 8s must be supervised by an adult. No need to book.

Monday, 19 December : Make a Light-Up Christmas Card, combining artistry and circuitry: Bridlington Central Library: ages seven plus : pre-booking required.

Tuesday, 20 December : Christmas Lego Art : Hornsea Hub; Flamborough Library; Hedon Centre; Pockington Petuaria Centre; Stamford Bridge Library; Withernsea Centre : details as above

Tuesday, 20 December : Code-a-Pillar and the Great Reindeer Rebellion : Withernsea Centre : a reading of Lisa Trumbauer's 'The Great Reindeer Rebellion', and then learn to code the Code-a-Pillars to get Santa back on track! Ages 3-7. Pre-booking required.

Tuesday, 20 December : Christmas Team Lego Engineering Challenge : North Bridlington Centre : budding engineers- children and families - form a team to build a new sleigh for Santa with items from the Lego Challenge Box : ages four plus : pre-booking required

Tuesday, 20 December : Make a Light-Up Christmas Card : Haltemprice Library and Customer Services : details as above

Wednesday, 21 December : Christmas Lego Art : Beverley Library; Howden Centre: details as above
