Thereare still some tickets available for The Multi-Story Orchestra, conducted byChristopher Stark, who will be visiting Flemingate Shopping Centre,Beverley, on Saturday, 8 September at 5pm with a programme to delightthe family.

Theystarted in 2011, presenting extraordinary performances in unexpectedsettings. From car parks to schools and festivals, they create amazinglive classical music experiences performed by incredible musicians.Winners of the 2016 Royal Philharmonic Society Award, the orchestra hasbeen celebrated as one of the most exciting ensembles to emerge inrecent years.

Theevening starts off with musicians spread across the car park, with theaudience free to explore and get involved; finding out about the musicand meeting the 60 piece orchestra, before everyone comes together for afull performance of Schumann’s captivating Second Symphony.

Theconcert will mark the return of the RPS Award- winning ClassicallyYours, after a successful funding application to Arts Council Englandwhich secured funding until March, 2020.

The next phase of Classically Yours builds on the work with orchestras,promoters and local music partners in the coastal areas of Bridlingtonand Withernsea, targeting those least engaged in cultural activities anddeveloping new audiences for orchestral music activities. Theprogramme will offer a wide range of orchestral experiences for peoplewho have never engaged with music before, collaborating with fourorchestras.
