MANCHESTER CAMERATA : Music from the Mountains
Thursday 25 October 2018 2pm
The Meridian Centre, Queen Street, Withernsea
Manchester Camerata, ‘Probably Britain’s most adventurous orchestra’ (The Times) make a welcome return to Withernsea on Thursday, 25 October. They begin the new season of Classically Yours in Withernsea, after the project received a Royal Philharmonic Society award for its work with local groups and schools last year.
They will be taking the audience on a voyage through Nordic and Russian wilderness, featuring the atmospheric In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg and Night on the Bare Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky. Young people from local schools will also perform their own new song inspired by the music to be heard that afternoon.
Tickets cost £6 and are available from Withernsea Library or call 01262 678258 or visit bridspa.com
