East Riding day services have been pushing boundaries and bowling over their peers thanks to a visit from the Yorkshire Cricket Board (YCB).
Adults who access day services in the East Riding have attended a cricket development day at Beverley Town Cricket Club, in Norwood, and were put through their paces by several county coaches.
The YCB returned to deliver a second session after the inaugural event last year proved popular with those taking part.
Joe Ashdown, YCB cricket development manager (east), said: "We had another fantastic day with all the service day centres at Beverley Town Cricket Club and it was great to see everyone enjoying the cricket activities we put on.
“The staff were brilliant all day and the service users smiled throughout as well as showing great enthusiasm and skill.”
Councillor Richard Harrap, council portfolio holder for adult and carer services, said:“The English cricket season may be drawing to a close, but the late summer sun saw a fantastic day for those adults who attend day services in the East Riding.
“The opportunity for our day service users to try new sports and activities is something we are always looking to develop and we are again proud to be working in partnership with prestigious sporting organisations like the Yorkshire Cricket Board.”
