‘Sewerby Squirrels’ – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and their families - is held in the Orangery on Mondays from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time, and the next session will be on Monday, 8 October.

All the sessions feature themed activities for Under 5s, based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits which are on display at Sewerby Hall. Each session includes books to read, a sensory area and quiet corner.

The event on Monday, 8 October will be a special free session, a chance to come and try out the event free of charge. The theme will be the Edwardian kitchen, when the Squirrels can come and have a go at using a jelly mould, play with bread dough and get messy with flour.

Lucy Cooke, under fives learning co-ordinator, said : “Next Monday will be a one-off opportunity for both regular visitors to the sessions, and new Squirrels, to come along and give it a go, and have great fun free of charge, whilst learning as well.”
