‘Sewerby Squirrels’ – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and their families - is held in the Orangery on Mondays from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time, and there are more sessions for the rest of October.
All the sessions feature themed activities for Under 5s, based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits which are on display at Sewerby Hall. Each session includes books to read, a sensory area and quiet corner.
The session on Monday, 15 October will be Sea-themed Craft, with a chance to come and make a paper plate jellyfish.
On Monday, 22 October, the theme will be Garden Explorers. The Squirrels will enjoy garden-themed toys and a colour hunt in the garden (which starts at 10.30).
There will be a break for half term on 29 October - although there will be events for the whole family on offer throughout the week at Sewerby Hall and Gardens - and then Squirrels sessions are back again on Monday, 5 November.
The sessions are included in normal admission prices for Sewerby Hall and Gardens whilst they apply.
