A fun Halloween challenge is being set for children and adults visiting Beverley’s Saturday Market later this month.
The market traders will be holding a competition to find the best carved pumpkins on Saturday 27 October, with great prizes up for grabs for the most creative entries.
The competition is open to all ages. Just bring your decorated pumpkin to the market, in Saturday Market, between 9am and 12noon on the day.
All the pumpkin will go on display to the public on a stall before the judging takes place at 12.30pm.
There are three categories, with great prizes on offer for the winners:
Lisa Gray, liaison officer for the Beverley Group of the National Market Traders Association, said: “We thought it would be a great opportunity to spark creativity in the local community for both children and adults … and we can’t wait to see some fantastic pumpkins.
“The traders will also be getting into the Halloween spirit by decorating their stalls for the occasion, so it will be a really fun day for everyone.”
