Further 2019 Tour de Yorkshire roadshows – hosted by Welcome to Yorkshire with East Riding of Yorkshire Council officers in attendance – have been announced for February.
Following hot on the heels of the three other roadshows organised in the region this month, two more dates have been confirmed at these East Riding locations:
The other roadshows will take place at Bridlington Spa (Wednesday, 20 February), Howden (Wednesday, 27 February) and Snaith (Wednesday, 6 February).
Local business and community representatives are invited to the free roadshows, where there will be a short presentation, details about the race route and a Q&A.
The East Riding will again feature heavily during Tour de Yorkshire 2019. Two days of racing, from the four-day event, will cover local ground on Thursday, 2 May and Saturday, 4 May, with Bridlington hosting the race start on the Saturday.
Councillor Stephen Parnaby OBE, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The addition of two further Tour de Yorkshire roadshows to our region’s calendar shows our commitment and Welcome to Yorkshire’s commitment in promoting this fantastic, world-class cycling event for our region in May.
“We are very excited to have the chance to reach out to business and community representatives and hit home the key messages, such as maximising the potential of Tour de Yorkshire 2019 for the local economy.”
