Local businesses and community representatives will be encouraged to get into pole position when it comes to making the most out of 2019 Tour de Yorkshire at a free roadshow in Howden.
The sessions, hosted by Welcome to Yorkshire and with East Riding of Yorkshire Council officers in attendance, will take place at Shire Hall, Howden on Wednesday, 27 February, starting at 5.30pm.
There will be a short presentation, further details about this year’s cycle route, advice about gaining the best out of the world-class event, and a Q&A.
Four similar roadshows have been organised around the region in February ahead of this year’s Tour de Yorkshire, which features twice in East Yorkshire on Thursday, 2 May and Saturday, 4 May. The route races through Howden on the Thursday.
Councillor Stephen Parnaby OBE, leader of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “The roadshow at Howden will be the last of five, which have been very successful and well attended with informative sessions showcasing the fantastic impact of Tour de Yorkshire.
“Howden will feature during stage 1 of the race, therefore we are encouraging local businesses, organisations and communities to attend. Tour de Yorkshire has consistently brought our communities together each year since it first started in 2015, and we are sure this roadshow will inspire exciting things.”
