East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s sport, play and arts service is introducing new indoor Walking Football sessions in Stamford Bridge, starting on Monday, 4 March 2019.
This follows on from the success of other Walking Football sessions which have taken place within the East Riding, along with a strong expression of interest in the sport.
They will take place at Stamford Bridge Sports Hall every Monday, within the indoor sports hall, between 8-9pm. Each session will cost £2.
Targeted for people aged 50 and over, it aims to provide fun, sociable football games and skills, and also improve the fitness for people who have previously played and would like a chance to kick a ball once again.
Sessions will be led by community sports coach Jack Harrison for six weeks. Jack will provide casual, organised walking football games and accommodate various fitness levels, providing low- to mid-intensity matches ideal for people who haven’t played for a long time, or would like to get fitter and meet new people.
Walking Football is suitable for any skill and fitness levels. For more information, or to book a session, please call Mick Lawson at the Station Club on (01759) 371204.
