East Riding residents who are looking to save money on their energy bills are reminded that they have until Tuesday 26 March to sign up for the latest round of YORSwitch.
Since the scheme started in 2013, YORSwitch has delivered more than £5.2million in savings for East Riding residents.
Residents who sign up for the latest round of YORSwitch could save an average of £130 following an auction between energy companies.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council has partnered with iChoosr, the UK’s leading expert in collective energy switching, and together are able to secure highly competitive tariffs.
The winners of the auction, E.ON and Octopus Energy, will supply a range of tariffs to residents. These tariffs are not available directly from the supplier or though price comparison services.
Households which haven’t yet signed up are still able to access a deal secured through the collective by signing up via the website today. After completing registration, they will receive a personal offer instantly. Residents have until 26 March to switch onto one of these tariffs for this round. The next opportunity to register for YORSwitch starts on 2 April, with an auction in May.
Now is the ideal time for residents, especially those on standard tariffs, to switch. They should secure a good rate for the year ahead as wholesale energy prices are likely to continue increasing in the coming weeks.
Registering is easy and straight forward, just visit www.eastriding.gov.uk/yorswitch, ring (01482) 393939 or visit your local customer service centre.
