East Riding of Yorkshire Council and The Carbon Trust will host a free workshop at Brough Business Centre, on Thursday, 13 June, for small-and-medium-sized-enterprises (SMEs) to provide training on reducing energy bills and how to focus on major areas of energy consumption.
The event, which takes place from 9-11.30am, will also provide an introduction to the Carbon Trust’s Green Business Fund for SMEs, covering how to gain access to funding and free one-to-one site energy audits.
Paul Bell, head of economic development at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “Working with The Carbon Trust, the council is pleased to be hosting this free workshop for SMEs.
“Providing practical advice and support on the subject of energy is beneficial to both the environment, in terms of reducing carbon emissions, and in ensuring SMEs maximise their business potential by not having to overpay on their energy bills.”
