‘Sewerby Squirrels’ – held at Sewerby Hall and Gardens for under fives and accompanying adults - is held in the Orangery on Mondays from 10am -11.30am, during East Riding term-time, and there are more sessions in the coming weeks.
All the sessions feature themed activities for Under 5s, based on seasonal events, Edwardian life, and exhibits which are on display at Sewerby Hall. Each session includes books to read, a sensory area and quiet corner.
In the session on 29 April, the squirrels will be participating in garden explorers, enjoying garden themed toys and will have fun investigating minibeasts outside in the garden – dressing for the weather is essential.
The session on 13 May will see the squirrels join in an Edwardian tea party, where they can enjoy a wide selection of role play tea, coffee, cakes, fruits & more.
On 20 May, the session will include an Amy Johnson craft, making hot air balloons which also can be taken home to enjoy.
There will be no sessions on the two Bank Holidays in May.
The sessions are included in normal admission prices for Sewerby Hall and Gardens whilst they apply.
